MOPAR A-833 "New Process" 4-Speed

Introduced in 1963 for the 1964 models, the A-833 has been produced in several different configurations. The 1964 to Early 1966 are easily identified due to the ball and trunion U-joint flange and small speedometer. The Late 1966 to 1969 have a standard splined tailshaft and one shfter mount location. The 1970 and Later (B and E-Body models) have two shifter mount locations. The Overdrive units (Feather Duster) have an aluminum case.

We have taken most of this information out of the 1998 Year One Catalog, however, some data comes from magazines and other documentation. We also have an example of each of these units and will be updating part numbers and other specifications in the future. If you have information to contribute or see any errors, please let us know.
